Agree with most of your thesis but wonder how providers orgs may respond in future to remain competitive against the rising might of payers who are basically building moats around acute care.

There is also the issue of policy and CMS’s influence which is not discussed in this article. What, if any influence will this have to digital health sector. And then there is TEFCA and the forthcoming requirement that providers allow patients to have full access to their EHI through any 3rd party app they invoke.

Lastly, this is a far better analysis of the nuances of the healthcare sector then the Rock Health write-up which I had a lot of issues with. Hats off to you both.
