You can get this info from your pharmacy fairly quickly. They can print a list MUCH faster than any doc’s office can! Good luck!

His pain mgmt doc retired in May and gave us a ‘link’ with his medical records from the whole time we saw him, about 8 years. Lucky right? Well, since he retired in May, we’ve been calling and faxing that info to doctors everywhere to no avail. You already know no one writes prescriptions anymore. I thought I found a place that would help, but come to find out, they will NOT accept faxed records directly from the patient!! None of the other places I’ve faxed have said anything about that. So what am I supposed to do, how do I get a closed office to fax records to this new doctor ?? Back in the day, when faxing was new, we all thought that was magical, how you could send info over a phone line ?? Now, it means nothing. I have the link with those records, but it’s still not good enough. Will NOT accept records faxed from the patient for fear of them being made up or doctored !! On one hand I can understand that, but on the other, bigger hand, it’s BS. Why would someone who genuinely needs help go to all the trouble of faking info ? I’m sick, I don’t feel like all that work. I just want relief from the pain !!!!

So what do we do? Who can we ALL complain to to get this conundrum straightened out ??

This is an honest to goodness failure. No wonder there are so many suicides …………………

Kathy, my name is Margaret and i live in Colorado. Im in the same situation you were in May. I am ( was?) a patient at a pain clinic here and it appears as if it suddenly closed. Ive received nothing in terms of them contacting me, etc., The phone is unanswered. Patient portals aren’t accessible, etc. I will be moving to a new state in 3 weeks and need medical records so i can find a new provider. Did you ever get your medical records? If so, tell me how you did it
